We are committed to making our products more respectful of people and the environment.

Using European wood species

In 2020, Azur Confort is taking the risky decision to abandon all exotic woods such as teak and assamela. Known by all for their qualities and widely used in the outdoor furniture industry , these species raise a number of eco-responsible questions about their sourcing: transport from Asia or Africa, destructive cultivation, poor logging conditions, etc. We therefore turned to local woods, originating in Europe and coming from sustainably managed forests.

Long-lasting and repairable

As well as the choice of materials, the durability of our furniture is taken into account right from the design stage. We leave aside passing trends to focus on the timelessness of the design. The F104 director’s chair is a perfect example: the model has barely changed since it was designed by Henri Inderchit in the 1930s. Over time, we have improved our models to make them more repairable without compromising their robustness.

French and local partners

Just like our wood, over the years we have developed a network of local partners. From hardware to fabrics, from finishes to our shipping cartons: we favour regional and French sourcing. This is the case with Serge Ferrari, our main fabric supplier, whose factories are located just over thirty kilometres from our factory.

Collecting and recycling

Azur Confort is a member of Valdelia (membership number: FR013393), an eco-organisation approved by the French Ministry for Ecological Transition, whose mission is to collect and recycle professional furniture. The eco-contribution from the sale of Azur Confort professional furniture enables used furniture to be processed and collected throughout France.
